John David Woodnorth
John David Woodnorth was born on the 19th of December, 1999 in the Hutt Hospital. John lives in Eastbourne and he has two sisters, one brother and a nephew, as well as 9 cousins. Max is John’s little brother and is 10 years old. He enjoys mountain biking and his older sister Jessica who is 14 likes diving. His oldest sister is already 25 years old and has a little baby boy called Hadin who is currently four months old. John’s dad, David works at a software company while his mum, Ronnie stays at home.
When John went to Kindergarten he chased the girls with tiger worms and spiders. Once John wrapped up a big spider in newspaper and then gave it to a girl at his Kindy as a ‘present’ and when she opened it she got a massive fright and started screaming. Another time John tricked all of the teachers at his Kindergarten into thinking that there was a fire and the teachers then started evacuating all of the kids.
When he first started school and was in room 16, John thought that you could leave the classroom at anytime to go outside and play. Only when Mrs Ryan, his teacher called him, did she notice that John was no longer in the classroom. The whole class then started searching for John while he was hiding in the bathroom. When John was in room 1he was running around the classroom with a pencil and the pencil went right through his nose. John then had to go to the hospital to get it pulled out.
John is very active and enjoys doing many different activities outside like: mountain biking, skateboarding, rock climbing as well as things like: fishing, surfing and sailing an Optimist. John also enjoys playing music on a range of different instruments like: ukulele, guitar and piano.
John really enjoys fishing because ‘It is a chance to go out onto the wide, open ocean, and because it is a chance to really enjoy yourself.’ When John is older, he wants to be a fishermen so that he can really enjoy himself and do what he enjoys doing. Also, if he is a fishermen he can give fish to his family.
